For the control of certain grass weeds in beetroot, cabbage, canola, celery, cotton, forestry, lettuce, non-bearing fruit trees, onions, ornamentals, peanuts, pulses (including adzuki beans, broad beans, chickpeas, faba beans, field peas, lentils, lupins and mung beans), potatoes, soybeans and pasture legume (lucerne, clover and medic) seed crops (and pastures).

On the 20th of August, a host of industry partners joined with local and international representatives of Sumitomo Chemical at the Rialto hotel in Melbourne to celebrate their 100th anniversary.

While guests mingled over the food and wine, Ray Nishimoto, Sumitomo Chemical Board Member and President of Health & Crop Sciences Sector provided an overview of the company’s origins and an insight into plans for the future.

Sumitomo Chemical to distribute MGK products in Australia and New Zealand

Sumitomo Chemical Australia will commence distribution of the US based McLaughlin Gormley King Company (MGK) insecticide product range from April 1, 2015. MGK is a leader in the development and distribution of a wide range of insect control technologies. It manufactures insect control products for the home consumer, professional pest control, animal health and crop protection markets.

In Australia and New Zealand MGK currently has a strong business established around the botanical insecticide pyrethrum, insect repellents such as DEET and proprietary insecticidal synergists.
